When we Planned Kizzy’s Branding Session, She Had One Big Goal—Connection

Kizzy is a familiar face in Maple Ridge. Her iconic macarons draw lines at every farmers market she attends. But behind those sweet, colorful treats is a bigger story—a connection between her bakeshop and her small farm that most people never knew existed.

Until recently, Kizzy had never formally introduced herself online. She had built her business through word of mouth, local love, and irresistible flavor. But now, she was ready to put a face to the brand—and not just for her macarons, but also the farm-fresh roots they’re connected to.

She wanted her audience to see it’s all her—the one who grows, bakes, teaches, and builds community, one sweet bite at a time.

What We Planned for Her Brand Shoot

For Kizzy’s half-day brand shoot, we focused on three core elements:

1. Warm, welcoming headshots

This was Kizzy’s first time sharing her face online—and we wanted it to feel natural and grounded. We captured her in soft, joyful poses in her kitchen and garden, reflecting the warmth her customers already feel when they buy from her.

2. Macaron-making in action

We documented one of her macaron classes—featuring both kids and adults! This part of her business brings people together in the most joyful way, and her brand photos needed to show not just what she does, but how it feels to be in her world.

3. A peek into her small farm life

To visually connect her baking to her roots, we spent time outdoors on her farm. Bare hands, herbs, sunshine, and dirt under the nails—it was storytelling gold.

Bringing Her Brand Story to Life (Without Stiff Poses)

Kizzy was a little nervous at first—she had never done a shoot like this before. But we took a lifestyle approach that made everything feel relaxed and fun. Her personality—cheerful, community-focused, and full of colour—shines through in every frame.

We used her real space, her real ingredients, and her real students. And that authenticity? You can feel it.
